Ces derni\u00e8res sont parfois la cause de leur plainte et la raison de la consultation. Tristesse, col\u00e8re, anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, phobie, panique, etc. Elles sont nombreuses et diverses, n\u00e9anmoins, elles partagent des processus communs. En effet,&nbsp;<strong>le syst\u00e8me limbique, le syst\u00e8me nerveux autonome et le syst\u00e8me d&rsquo;activation r\u00e9ticulaire<\/strong>&nbsp;interagissent pour permettre \u00e0 l\u2019organisme de ressentir et de traiter toutes sortes d\u2019\u00e9motions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans cet article, l\u2019objectif sera d\u2019expliquer quelles sont les structures c\u00e9r\u00e9brales qui contribuent au traitement des \u00e9motions et comment cela fonctionne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" src=\"https:\/\/www.psy.link\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3524\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.psy.link\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/1.png 640w, https:\/\/www.psy.link\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/1-300x197.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le syst\u00e8me limbique, le centre des \u00e9motions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le syst\u00e8me limbique est la zone du cerveau la plus fortement impliqu\u00e9e dans les \u00e9motions. Celui-ci contribue \u00e9galement \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire et aux apprentissages. Plusieurs structures le composent, celles jouant les r\u00f4les principaux sont&nbsp;:&nbsp;<strong>l&rsquo;hypothalamus, le thalamus, l&rsquo;amygdale et l&rsquo;hippocampe<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L&rsquo;hypothalamus<\/strong>&nbsp;signale l&rsquo;activation du syst\u00e8me nerveux sympathique. Il n\u2019a pas besoin de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir, sa r\u00e9action est imm\u00e9diate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" src=\"https:\/\/www.psy.link\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.psy.link\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2.png 640w, https:\/\/www.psy.link\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2-300x197.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Le syst\u00e8me limbique cat\u00e9gorise l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience d&rsquo;une \u00e9motion, soit comme un \u00e9tat agr\u00e9able, soit d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able. Sur la base de cette cat\u00e9gorisation, diff\u00e9rentes substances neurochimiques telles que la dopamine, la noradr\u00e9naline et la s\u00e9rotonine augmentent ou diminuent. La dopamine est associ\u00e9e au plaisir, la noradr\u00e9naline, \u00e0 la peur et la s\u00e9rotonine, \u00e0 la tristesse. Celles-ci font fluctuer le niveau d&rsquo;activit\u00e9 du cerveau et entra\u00eenent des changements dans les mouvements, les gestes et les poses du corps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L&rsquo;amygdale et les \u00e9motions &#8211; la peur<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;amygdale est situ\u00e9 dans les lobes temporaux gauche et droit du cerveau. Cette structure a re\u00e7u beaucoup d&rsquo;attention de la part des chercheurs \u00e9tudiant les bases biologiques des \u00e9motions, en particulier de la peur et de l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9. L&rsquo;amygdale joue un r\u00f4le d\u00e9cisif l&rsquo;analyse des menaces potentielles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il joue un r\u00f4le essentiel dans le conditionnement classique et dans l\u2019association des \u00e9motions aux processus d&rsquo;apprentissage et aux souvenirs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Par exemple, lorsque Anna pense \u00e0 l\u2019accident de voiture, dans lequel, elle \u00e9tait victime. L&rsquo;accident a eu lieu il y a cinq ans mais elle ressent encore l\u2019activation de la peur.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" src=\"https:\/\/www.psy.link\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3526\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.psy.link\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/3.png 640w, https:\/\/www.psy.link\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/3-300x197.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La recherche sugg\u00e8re que l&rsquo;amygdale est impliqu\u00e9e dans les troubles de l&rsquo;humeur et l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9. Des changements dans la structure et la fonction de l&rsquo;amygdale ont \u00e9t\u00e9 observ\u00e9s chez des adolescents \u00e0 risque ou ayant re\u00e7u un diagnostic de trouble de l&rsquo;humeur ou d&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le volume de l&rsquo;hippocampe diminue lors des \u00e9tats de stress post-traumatique<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme pour l&rsquo;amygdale, la recherche a \u00e9galement d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que la structure et la fonction de l&rsquo;hippocampe sont li\u00e9es aux troubles de l&rsquo;humeur et anxieux. Les personnes souffrant de trouble de stress post-traumatique (ESPT) pr\u00e9sentent des r\u00e9ductions marqu\u00e9es de volume dans plusieurs parties de l&rsquo;hippocampe. L&rsquo;hypothalamus r\u00e9gule et contr\u00f4le nos organes internes et nos glandes. Y sont compris des processus tels que le pouls, la pression art\u00e9rielle, la respiration et l&rsquo;excitation en r\u00e9ponse au contexte  \u00e9motionnel. Le SNA \u00e9chappe au contr\u00f4le volontaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le SNA peut \u00eatre subdivis\u00e9 en syst\u00e8mes nerveux sympathique et parasympathique. Lorsque le syst\u00e8me nerveux sympathique (SNS) s&rsquo;active, il pr\u00e9pare le corps \u00e0 une action d&rsquo;urgence. L&rsquo;activation du SNS engendre la production d&rsquo;adr\u00e9naline, ce qui entra\u00eene la r\u00e9ponse \u00ab combat ou fuite \u00bb.&nbsp;Celle-ci implique une augmentation du flux sanguin vers les muscles, une acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration de la fr\u00e9quence cardiaque et d&rsquo;autres r\u00e9ponses physiologiques. Celles-ci  permettent au corps d\u2019agir plus rapidement mais aussi de ressentir moins de douleur dans des situations per\u00e7ues comme dangereuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inversement, le syst\u00e8me nerveux parasympathique (SNP) fonctionne lorsque le corps se d\u00e9tend au repos ; il aide le corps \u00e0 stocker de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie pour une utilisation future. Les effets de l&rsquo;activation de la SNP comprennent une activit\u00e9 accrue de digestion et une diminution du flux sanguin vers les muscles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les divisions parasympathiques et sympathiques du SNA ont des fonctions compl\u00e9mentaires et fonctionnent en tandem pour maintenir l&rsquo;\u00e9quilibre du corps. Il g\u00e8re la vigilance et l&rsquo;attention, le sommeil et l&rsquo;\u00e9veil, et le contr\u00f4le des r\u00e9flexes.&nbsp;On pense que le SAR active d&rsquo;abord le cortex, puis maintient son \u00e9tat de vigilance afin que les informations sensorielles et les \u00e9motions soient nterpr\u00e9t\u00e9es plus efficacement.
